Write to frombelowstudios@gmail.com and you will get a reply, usually within a day or two. One person makes these apps, so there is no queue and no ticket number, just me.
If something has gone wrong, the quickest thing you can do is open More in the app (in Campfire it is a tab inside Tune) and tap Report a problem. It writes the email for you with your settings and device attached, which usually tells me straight away what happened. You can read and edit it before it sends.
Audio cannot start until you touch the screen once, which is a rule of the phone and not something the app can skip, so press Go under and it will begin. If it is still silent, check the ringer switch on the side of the phone and the volume slider in the app's own bar at the bottom.
Yes. Start it, then lock the phone; the rain carries on and the lock screen shows the time you have left, with play and pause. If a call or another app interrupts it, it comes back on its own when they finish.
That is the Screen setting under Session. Leave it on Stay on all night to keep the picture up, or choose Sleep after the dim and the screen turns itself off once the scene has dimmed, with the sound still running.
The scene is drawn from scratch every frame, so it does ask something of the phone. Under Look, set Quality to Lite, and under Session turn on Dim after and set Screen to Sleep. With the screen off it costs very little, because only the sound is still running.
Any iPhone or iPad running iOS 17 or later. Older or smaller devices start in Lite quality on their own.
Yes. Send it to picture in picture with the PIP button, or just leave it playing while you use other apps.
Sound starts when you press Lie back, because the phone will not let an app play audio before you touch the screen. If it is still silent, check the ringer switch and the volume slider in the bar at the bottom.
Yes. Lie back, then lock the phone; the fire keeps crackling and the lock screen shows the time left, with play and pause. The session clock runs on the real time, so the sky moves on even while the screen is dark.
Only if you pick Where I am as the place, so the sky and the hills are the ones above and around you. Say no, or pick one of the other places, and it never asks. The first time, it downloads a little public elevation data for the hills near you, then works offline. The privacy policy has the detail.
The skyline comes from open elevation data with a point roughly every 35 metres. It is the lie of the land, not the trees or buildings, and close to the camp it can miss a small rise. Tap the skyline to see how far away and how high the app thinks it is. If it is clearly wrong, tell me where (a suburb or town is enough) and I will look at it. Under Scene, Horizon set to Flat takes the hills away.
The sky, the fire and the land are drawn from scratch every frame. Under Sky, set Quality to Low, and under Session set Dim after and choose Sleep after the dim for the screen. With the screen off it costs very little, because only the sound is still running.
Any iPhone or iPad running iOS 15 or later.
Open More, find the Pro row and tap Restore, with the same Apple Account signed in that you bought it with. Pro belongs to your Apple Account, not to one phone, so it works on every device you sign in to with it.
Subscriptions are handled by Apple, not inside the app. Go to your Apple subscriptions, or Settings, then your name, then Subscriptions, and change or cancel it there. Cancel at least 24 hours before it renews. Cancelling leaves Pro on until the end of the period you have paid for.
The lifetime unlock is a one-off purchase, not a subscription, so there is nothing to cancel.
Apple issues refunds for everything bought through the App Store. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in and choose the purchase. I cannot refund it from my end, but tell me what went wrong anyway so I can fix it.
